Craft and Design

 

The Craft workshop at Breakout offers a wide variety of activities that aim to build up the student’s confidence, motivation and hand skills.

 

The students are encouraged to try their hand at glass engraving, pyrography, batik, scrollsaw projects, sculpture, card making, glass painting, sewing and mosaic making.

 

These activities enable the students to incorporate their own design ideas into each project.

 

We actively encourage the students to explore and experiment with materials and construction methods, and a basic understanding of colour theory and economical use of materials is incorporated along the way.

 

The students are allowed to take home the work produced in the workshop, so this is an ideal opportunity for them to make something for themselves, or to make gifts and cards for friends and loved ones.
